Overview
The judge dismissed the appeal on the basis that the trial defence lawyer had sufficiently explained the process and outcome to the accused and the trial judge was not required to conduct a plea comprehension inquiry under s. 606(1.1) in the absence of a plea of guilty. Therefore nothing rendered the NCRMD verdict unfair or unreliable.
