Is running from the police a crime in Canada?
Depending on the circumstances (e.g. whether the officer was acting in the execution of their duties) running away from a police officer may constitute the offence of Obstruction of a Peace Officer (see e.g. R v Quist, [1981] S.J. No. 1236,61 C.C.C. (2d) 207 (Sask. C.A.)).
